High School Football in Georgia

People always told me that football in the south was bigger than life. After living here, I know what they mean. We are truly in football country.
We (Warner Robins) had a big game this past Friday against our cross town rivals, Northside High School. Northside is nationally ranked and they have 3 D1 recruits on the defensive side of the ball (both defensive ends and one line backer). In the past, this game has drawn ESPN and many news stations from all over the south to cover this event.
For high school games, I had never seen such a following of tailgate parties in the stadium parking lot and the enormity of the stadium and facilities, including their own jumbo screen on the scoreboard that they would show stats, replays, player profiles and other information.
Some major things I like most was that each game is started with prayer, stadium wide pledge of allegiance and of course the national anthem. Something that is very different from the game we had in the west.

Holy smokes!!!! Football games are quite a production! Utah State doesn't even have that kind of turn out....don't even start Keith!! If we were to start with prayer, it would say..."Lord, help us to not get our @*$'s kicked like last time, and help the Aggie fans, that they will not cry or commit suicide after the game.".
